Highlights

A decision was requested as to whether the General Services Administration (GSA) could continue to provide administrative support services to the Federal Election Commission in light of a Supreme Court decision that the Commission could not exercise certain of its statutory duties. GSA may continue to provide administrative support services to the Commission, and the salaries of the commissioners may continue to be paid since the Court ruled that the Commission continued to exist in law even though it could not perform executive department functions.
