Consideration of employees' reimbursement claims under the Meritorious Claims Act of 1928 was questioned. An employee's claim for reimbursement of temporary lodging expenses beyond those for the allowable period will not be reported to Congress under the act because it was not clearly indicated that the claimant's own misconstruction of application regulations and possible lack of care did not contribute to his incurrence of expenses. The claim of a retired employee for reimbursement for the cost of a mailgram, telephone call, and stamps used to correspond with agencies regarding incorrect termination of his health benefit enrollment did not warrant reporting to Congress under the act.
