Claim for Relocation Expenses Involving Mobile Home

A decision was requested on reimbursement of an employee for expenses incurred in moving his mobile home incident to a transfer of duty station. The member received an allowance for movement of his mobile home in lieu of an allowance for shipping household goods, and he may not be reimbursed for shipment of additional household goods. The cost of storing a trailer and rental of a post office box incident to the transfer are not reimbursable, but the employee may be reimbursed for miscellaneous expenses.
