Claim for Compensation for Weekend Traveltime

A decision was requested with regard to a claim for overtime compensation for time spent in travel on a weekend. If the employee could have traveled on Friday, he is not entitled to overtime compensation under 5 U.S.C. 5544. However, he may be compensated for overtime travel under the Fair Labor Standards Act if he worked more than 40 hours in a week, including the travel.
