Claims for Proceeds of Checks Issued to Relatives Who Were Not Successfully Evacuated From Vietnam

Payment of claims for proceeds of checks issued in exchange for Vietnamese currency to relatives in Vietnam incident to the evacuation of personnel was questioned. The checks for payees still in Vietnam were placed in a special deposit account and may not be paid out to relatives in the United States who claim power of attorney to receive the proceeds.
