Highlights

A decision was requested with regard to the claim of an employee for expenses incurred during a househunting trip in connection with a change of duty station. Even though the employee made the trip a week before his transfer and did not return to his former station, he may be reimbursed for the househunting trip because it was in the Government's best interest for him to remain at the new station rather than incurring unnecessary expenses in a return trip.
