Highlights

An employee requested reconsideration of a settlement disallowing his claim for reimbursement of real estate expenses incurred incident to his transfer. The employee sought extension of the settlement date limitation for sale of his former residence under Bureau of the Budget Circular A-56 which at that time required that an employee enter into a contract of sale or purchase within 1 year after transfer. The statement of his supervisor as to the date of the contract was not sufficient documentation, and neither the extension of time nor the claim were allowable on the basis of that statement.
