Request for Rescission of Contract

The agency requested approval of the proposed recission of a sales contract based upon a mistake in bid alleged after award. The rescission of the contract was allowed since it was demonstrated that the contracting officer was on constructive notice of the possibility of the error and failed to obtain verification of the bid prior to award.
