Portable Document Files

GAO makes documents available in Portable Document Format (PDF) both on our World Wide Web site and also in our GPO Access WAIS databases. Comptroller General Decisions are also available on our World Wide Web site in HTML format.

PDF documents accurately represent the contents of the printed version, accurately rendering both page layout and fonts, while including all graphical content.

However, PDF files cannot be read or printed with standard word processor programs. They require a suitable reader, which should be configured as a helper application or a browser plug-in.
