Search Enhancements

In response to your requests that we improve searching, GAO has introduced a new feature to enhance searching and your ability to select the best results to meet your needs. In the past, search results have included titles and your search terms with the text surrounding them, the URL, and other minor information about each item. Now your results will typically include an Overview and Topic as well.

The Overview provides a brief abstract of the contents. The Topic section contains the major heading under which we have the product categorized. The categories are the same as you will find in the Browse by topic part of the web site, and the Month in Review, and e-mail topic lists.
