Highlights

Based on a review of past decisions of the Comptroller General, we conclude that payment is authorized for the costs of recruiters participating in recruiting seminars, panel discussions, and job fairs; for the travel expenses of candidates who come to GAO for a second interview; for name tags; and for the Agency's membership in professional organizations. The other expenses, including refreshments (where such expenses are specifically identifiable), business cards, gifts distributed at job fairs, travel expenses to bring students to GAO for seminars, and local travel expenses for student volunteers, may not be reimbursed.
